Afternoon everyone!

Today I am going to tell about the best home and gym workouts ever BLOGILATES!

Honestly they have changed the way I workout, how I plan meals and my weekly workout schedule. Blogilates is Pilates but way more intense than I have experienced before, to get the best of both worlds I alternate each day of the week between the gym and blogilates – I usually take a rest day on Wednesday or Sunday and focus on doing stretches. Cassey (the creator of Blogilates) has a youtube channel filled with so many types of videos and levels to suit everyone!

Cassey also has a monthly workout calendar which plans all your workouts for a month…how great is that?! It is also FREE!!!

Blogilates has helped tone me up, use muscles I didn’t know existed and pushed me when I didn’t think I could go any further!

The positivity that she has is amazing and inspiring so if your bored of your day to day workouts check her out it will change everything!

Some reasons I love running and the benefits –
1. IT’S FREE – You don’t need a gym membership to do it and who can really stand running on a treadmill…not me
2. It keeps you fit – Running and other forms of cardiovascular exercise are a great way to increase your fitness because they raise your heart rate, giving your heart muscle an effective workout and improving your circulation.
3.  It is good for your mind – I love running as for me it’s breathing space away from technology and I can focus completely on me and nothing else which brings happiness and restores peace in my life (hippy moment much!)
4. Strong Bones – Running prevent osteoporosis because if you run on a regular basis you are continually using your muscles and bones so the bones are stimulated to remain stronger and don’t weaken so easily with age. So say buh-bye to osteoporosis.
5. Weight Loss – It is great for burning fat and is an easy way to get some cardio in your day!

Krav Maga

Hello Everyone,

Sorry things went quiet last week but I am back and this time to talk about a seminar I attended. On Sunday I woke up at ridiculous o’clock (8am..ON A SUNDAY?!) and travelled to Kirkcaldy to take part in a Krav Maga seminar which was 5 hours long and we were taught some of the basics of self defence.

What is Krav Maga? 

“Krav Maga is an extraordinary self protection system from Israel. Krav Maga was designed to enable ordinary men and women to protect themselves in the shortest time possible. It is not a martial art; it is a fighting system focused on protecting yourself or the people you love.”

What to expect…

My boyfriend knows Krav Maga and thats how I ended up going to the seminar which was really interesting and fin to learn about. We learned how to kick properly, punch, slap, how to defend yourself from a knife and a baseball bat. We didn’t learn everything it was just a taster but it has defiantly made me feel more confident in knowing that if someone came up to me I would know how to handle it better than I would of before.

Expect pain you are going to get hit and the next day muscle ache that I didn’t even know existed!

I enjoyed pushing myself to do something I normally wouldn’t and wasn’t 100% comfortable with but I will be going back to learn more since I enjoyed it so much.

Monday Bun Day

Do the round 3 times with a minute rest in between each round and your done in 30 minutes I like to run around my block a few times after as well

16 X Jumps (8 each side)

10 Squats

24 Walking lunges (12 each leg)

30 Fire hydrants (15 each leg)

15 Burpees

Job done!
